dmurdock, What a great post. Got to learn what it takes to do that!! Boy , it looks like this thing is really taking off the last few days. I would like to remind anyone who is planning to be present to be sure & let 243 know. I need to inform Outlet Mall Autoplex as to # of people expected so he can BBQ enough food. Thanks

Man oh man!

We've had great weather for weeks now; today, I come home and watch the news. What! Nooooo, not just one, but two tropical disturbances in the Gulf of Mexico #ad
On top of that, there is a front moving down that may not make it to Houston but may react with the warm weather of the gulf.

Can you say rain?

I've already mowed down the fingernails on my right hand...

Anyone have any other last requests, questions or suggestions? We're getting down to the nitty gritty, guy's.

243, my wife and I plan to be there. I plan to drive up Friday afternoon and camp in the park.

It looks better this morning #ad

89-90deg with around a 20% chance of rain Saturday and Sunday. Temple should be pretty nice once the front passes through.

B. G. Smith, I'm adding you to the list and I'll see ya there.

I'm 99% positive I'll be there if ya'll have room for one more. Unless a high paying interstate run comes up I'll just go out of service and run up there early Sat.
Thanks

As of 9/20 18:30 CST (local time) the weather forecast for the sat rally was low 90's and less than 10% chance of light showers(late in the day only).
This was the same on 3 local forecasts.
Looks like it will be a great day... . #ad

Just a word of caution if you are not sure how to ge to the park. DO NOT USE the address on the ReserveUSA website to map the address to the campground. I believe that is a mailing address and not even near where the campground is. As a matter of fact, there are 2 lakes near Belton, and if you map the address on the ReserveUSA website, it will show you near the wrong lake!

Map to campground!

If you scroll the map south by click on the S or down arrow twice, you will see the intersection of 2271 and 439.

Big Carl is right. I have posted a regional map for you to look at also.

Having a hard time with the map

Note that 2271 is the road that runs accross the top of the Dam. The rally site is near the corner of 2271 and 439. The campground where some will be staying is just north of the rally site on the other side of the lake.

Well, I will not be able to make the rally because of work commitments. Have fun.
Had been looking forward to it.
