Considering going to school to get certified for dirt work and and get my CCO to get started in the crane world. A pal of mine is a IUOE crane op, and he's trying to get me to join him. His recommendation was to go to school instead of the 4 yr appenticeship.



I've been driving trucks for 10+ years now, and I'm considering a change. I recently switched companies, tho, and I'm enjoying driving again and making better money with less hassle from management. Might just stay where I am, but always keeping my eyes open for a good opportunity.

im local 450 the glory is gone the economy is hurting jobs are scarce and living on the road away from home sucks college pays much more and any thing medical is hot inside and full of nice pretty nurses and steady work construction is not , wages are stagnant got my time in but the feast or famine pay schedule is typical, go for utility elec , or something that is city with benifits aint like it used to be get your degree first then if your want to be a operator do it for a electric co they work every day and youll make more and can slide into supervision

operators in texas from down south here drive down wages as they will work for next to nothing and contractors capitalize on the savings at the expense of benifits and pensions which means less work for us se habla ?
