My birthday is this coming Thursday, and my wife got me one of the best gifts I have ever received: The gauges I wanted!
I got the Isspro EGT and Boost Gauge, and the Autometer 2 gauge pod to put them in. I guess she couldn't wait until Thursday to give them to me, so I got them on Monday! Have I mentioned how cool my wife is?

Well, I couldn't wait for the next NW BOMB session, so I decided to install my goodies tonight. I'm worse than a kid at Christmas! At the last BOMB session, we drilled and tapped (I should say MikeR drilled and tapped, I watched!) my exhaust manifold for the EGT probe. I used an existing port on the intake manifold for the boost.
All went fairly well. I got everything hooked up and working in about 3 hours. I know, not the fastest time. Then, for a test drive!
I can hit about 20 psi of boost when I mash the accelerator. Also, going uphill at WOT, I can reach 1000 degrees pretty quickly. I think the EGT's would be higher, except I'm running a straight pipe. Cool stuff! Now, the REAL BOMBING begins... ... . I've got a 50 psi boost gauge, I better use it!
