I finally got the solution to my 993500 auto. I am getting a 2001 6 speed. The only real solution for fixing the auto I've found. Anyone wan't a 99 3500 25k takes it thats what the dealer is giving!

If you sell your truck out right, what does that do to your sales tax exposure? Here in Texas @ 6. 25% X $25,000 = $1,562. 50 ???? What I do is trade my truck in and then buy it back through MY dealership. I paid tax on my 2000 but none on my 2001.

I think that varies from state to state. Here in RI, any transaction involving a truck in any way knocks out deducting the trade-in. It only applies for car-to-car.
