Well Cade Shaffer and I tore into my 24V sunday and pulled the head, to start my o-ring/turbo process. The job wasnt too bad, only bad part was the mess from oil and coolant. A cherry picker helped out greatly! once the head was unbolted/unplugged from everytyhing else. I thought the banjo return line on the back of the head was going to be a pain but it wasnt. we left the manifold on the head when we pulled it. It took around 4 hours total for Cade and I to pull it but neither of us have pulled a CTD head before either.

My hat's off to you. I'm sure you boys know what you are doing. I see the best thing you did was to put fridge in the garage and I'll bet it's full of beer too.
 
Good job was you gasket blown? If so check your rockers for gasket they oil from the bottom and the gasket will stop up the oil feed.

The head gasket didnt blow, I was just pulling it to O-ring before the new turbo, I think Ill go ahead and pull the InnerCooler and clean it (buddy put my first stock turbo on and somehow didnt see the return line plug I had in place... . well it blew the seals! *note to self, always be involved with work on your own truck*)



That sucker weighs quite a bit! I took it to work lastnight but got swamped with some molds so I coudlnt check it for flatness. I had quite a few shocked :eek: guys walking past the toolbox and asking what happened!!

Mine is coming off again on Friday. I am getting antifreeze in the cylinders. Truck will run but is creating a lot of pressure in the radiator and overflow bottle. I had fireringed about 3 years ago, and have never been over 45lbs of boost. We shall see what happened on Friday...
