Any pros or cons on Genos exhaust blanket?

Has anyone tried Geno's air cleaner?

Mine is in the elbow, just after the turbo. I had one probe break off; I was extremely glad to be downstream of the turbine. Even the BOMB'ers will agree post-turbo is better for monitoring your cooldown. I also see instant temperature changes when I give it more throttle.
If I were BOMB'ed to higher Hp, I might rethink, but for my mostly stock ETH I'm extremely happy with my decision, as I am religious about turbo cooldowns.

Thanks, I thought that would be the best place. Any thought on how far from the rear of the turbo flange.
Thanks

CAM, I don't know if the elbows have changed on the newer trucks, but on my '97, there is a circular flat spot cast into it, about the size of a nickle, facing the passenger's side. There is a dimple cast into the center of that flat spot. It's the perfect spot for drilling and tapping, and I bet that's what it's there for, anyway.

Andy,
I remember i read something about that place and i looked but could'nt find it . Tomorrow before i drill and weld i'll give it another look over.
Thanks

Out for the weekend - hope my reply is not too late to help. The hole for mine was drilled in the top of the elbow, about 1-1/2" from the outlet flange that connects it to the turbo. I didn't do it myself; but the mechanic felt that was consistent with all the "big rig" installations he had seen. I also believe he put it there so they could drill without removing the elbow from the truck. I don't know if this is the "best" location, but it seems to work just fine. One thing I like about the "after turbo" mount, is that even if this is totally screwed up, I'm sure I can replace the elbow cheaper than I could replace the manifold. Of course, temptation would get the better of me and I would probably replace the elbow with a new one that incorporated both a temp probe AND an exhaust brake, so in reality it would cost me more #ad

HC,I got it done Sunday morning, went over to a friends house who actually done the work. Sounds as though my install is close to what you done. My friend healearked (spelling)my sleeve to the elbow. Today i recieved my 2 gauge w/tweeter , I need to get it painted to match. I'll work on it some more when i get off Thursday. Thanks for your help.
