Here I am

I've stepped in it now!

Thanks, TDR Staff

What does it weigh?

time to put a post out

Now I've done it... went out and bought my first pickup. Oh, I've driven plenty of 'em (since I was 6 or 8), just never owned one before. At least I had enough sense to buy the best! :D

This truck won't see much towing or many heavy loads. I bought it to be a daily driver and work truck. I'm tired of cars - they don't hold up. This truck is FAR quiter than our '97 Intrepid POS... er ES.

I've owned 3 Dodge B-series vans, so I know they can build a truck. That combined with the Cummins should make for a truck that will serve me well for many years to come. I'm hoping I won't catch the Bombing bug, but the pull is strong! :(

Been lurking for a couple of weeks, now I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you. I've learned a ton from you guys already. Mostly I've learned that I don't know anything. ;)

Welcome to TDR Bob. I too came over from the "Dark Side". I have found no comparison between CTD and PSD. My only complaint about coming over is I didn't do it sooner:D

IMHO TDR is kind of like attempting to drink from a waterfall. Considerably More information than I'll absorb. GREAT bunch of folks around here.

Again Welcome to TDR.

Bill

I'm sure you will be happy with your new truck. I am.

Now about power :D

I can't see any reason for more than maybe 50-75 hp over what I have now :D

Thanks everyone. I've got so many questions I don't know which ones to start with.

Yep, I love this truck. The ole lady just rolls here eyes every time I tell her about something else I NEED for it.

Oh well, she'll get used to it! :D

Bob

Dont bother to try to resist, specially with these guys on the TDR. . Just go get a second job, and have the mailman deliver your packages to you at work! Worked for me... . for a while. :)

Robin

bob just do like i do,

about once a week i tell her: "honey, now dont forget, we are going to need the box, a new clutch, possibly a turbo charger, maybe some injectors and then the truck will be finished":D :D :D

after about 4 weeks of this, i think she will let me do it just so i stop reminding her about the cost. i am hoping that within 8 weeks she will believe it really IS necessary!!!!!!!

I can't do the second job. My job keeps me travelling too much. Warting her might help.

Hey, wait a minute... Some of my trips are close enough that I can just drive. While I'm out of town, I suppose I could do some bombing!

"You see dear, the truck was just acting up something terrible. Yes, I know it's still under warranty but all the dealers were backed up for weeks. I simply HAD to go somewhere else to get the truck fixed. Well, yes it was pretty expensive, but the computer was shot. Yes, they're all called 'PowerMaxCR'. That's the standard computer (cough). "

Hey, this could work!!! ;)
