Off Roading Automatic Transmission Options

Competition launching with a G56?

.

HRDROKN:Hey that was my white dually parked next to you behind the grandstands, i guess i didn't get to meet you. . by the way. . that rear-end cover you have is SICK! is it custom?

A couple of dodges appeared to have broke their transmissions... one even had paper plates on it still

That would be me. Testing out Bully Dogs new triple dog with the Torque Managment. I was trying to get my 60' times down. With a crummy 60' I got 13. 2 @ 107 out of her. If I can just get my 60' down where it should be I think I should be in the mid to low 12's.

BTW , that bully dog can make some power. My trans it totally fried. Shot the dipstick clean out of the trans and it got wedged between the radiator and the battery cable. Pretty narly.

Either way, I still had a great time. I love getting to see everyone and meeting new people. I'll be there agian next year.

Diesel Nut, I hope your not upset with my guys letting you try that New Triple Dog program that fried your transmission. They said they had a good time and everyone was very cool to them (very friendly). J&H Diesel was cool also. They had a very good event. Thanks, Brady

Ya, I didn't get to meet half the people that I wanted too..... That cover is from TA Performance and I ordered it from Accu Auto Parts.

Edit: I was just looking at the Accu Parts website and it looks like they don't list that diff cover anymore?

I'll be looking for ya at the next event!

J&H did a great job with this event! There was a HUGE turnout of trucks, and not only did they offer the NHRDA classes, but had some for those of us non-members too (much appreciated!).

It was great seeing familiar faces (Fletcher, PaulB, Scott, Sutton, and many others) as well as meeting the boys from Industrial Injection, Gary from J&H (we'd only met at high speed before :-laf ) and more. Great mix...

I had de-tuned my truck to run in the 12. 00 bracket, but blew a head gasket anyway in the second time run of the morning. :( Thanks to Joel and Harvey for letting me use their air-conditioned shop to fix it. You know you're sick when you carry not only a spare gasket, but all the tools to replace it! :-laf Fletcher towed me there (thanks buddy) and I spent the rest of the day/evening under the hood...

I was bummed to miss all the action, so if anyone could post pics and video, it would be way cool. I know Fletcher ran in the 10's while leaving huge black marks all the way down; not sticky enough for that action. Congrats to Paul for winning his class as usual!

THANKS TO J&H FOR THE HOSPITALITY! I will be back, hopefully to actually run... :D

Tom, no problemo, I have been in that position before on a sunday no less, knowing everything is closed. I asume you all made it the rest of the way with no further issues?

Yeah we made it the rest of the way with no problems, but I backed the speed down to 58mph :( Took 12 hours to get home... ..... however mileage was a lot better on the way back, I managed 12 mpg.

My good mercy. Is that propane bottle in the truck. Rhonda, you are very serious about this racing thing.

Well, Preston, like I always say, "anything that can be done, can be overdone"... :-laf Maybe that has something to do with the head gasket?

RD, I got her done down there and have been driving ever since. I'm running about 90lbs of boost WOT (more than last year). I'm sure there are plenty of guys running higher, and it may be time to step up my program from stock bolts/gasket, ya think? Okay, who's gonna give me studs? :D

I don't care who you are there is just something about a truck that can shoot snoot 300' in the air. . Then it just leaves you speachless... :--)

Hey Scott, Last year at Turlock you couldn't see the sled for all the smoke. This year you couldn't see the sled for all the dust. Good job. And great picture. :-laf :-laf :-laf
