It sound like you are talking about my Sterling. The turbo, DPF and egr all were replaced under warranty. Detroit Diesel assumes all warranty on our 6. 7s in the Sterling C/C. The Freightliner dealer I used to take my Bullet to had way less info available to them as compared to the Dodge (Ram) dealer I use for my 4500 Ram. I am using H&S tuner on my Sterling and have been problem free of emission nightmares, limp mode, sticky turbo etc... for a year now.

So the tuner took care of the problems? Sounds interesting. What did it do for the mileage, or EGTs? Sounds like a good answer...

He's supposed to take it to a different Freightliner dealer to let them see what is happening, because I think he has an exhaust leak at the rear EGR gasket since he can hear it in the cab and it carbons up around it.

Thanks... . I'll follow up when he tells me what they found...

As I stated before the problems went away along with the dpf and egr. I have seen a 2 mpg increase. I don't watch egt because I am running program with no added HP. The truck does what I need it to so I saw no need to increase the HP and run the risk of possible head gasket or trans issues.
