We're going thru Jackson Hole in a few weeks, never been there before. Anyone have any ideas on what to see or do there ? Also, any good resteraunts ?

Jackson Hole

Thanks for the reply. We're actully going to the Tetons as well. My wife wants to stop for a day or 2 in Jackson Hole.

There are some very nice high end restraunts in jackson. The Snake River Grill, The Grannery(sp?), and one other just off the square to the north the name of which is escaping me at the monent, the blue lion and well the list goes on. There are quite a few. I am a fan of Bubba's for barbeque type low end dining. I use to eat there about five time a week. There is lots of tourist info at the tourist info station just on the north side of town.

When are you there? We're leaving Yellowstone on the 18th of June for Jackson Hole (north end). There was a restaurant mentioned on another post that had a show and all for not much coin. Can't remember what it's called. Someone will know. Have a great trip.

Jackson Hole

We're leaving Bothell on the 16th, arriveing in Yellowstone the morning of the 17th. Leaving Yellowstone on the21st to go to Jackson.

Keep your eyes peeled for a flame red QC LB with a TDR badge on the grill. We'll be pulling a 27' Sandpiper TT. Will be in the area the same time as you will. Hope the snow melts soon.

Right on. We're driving a dark red QC pulling a Wilderness Yukon TT. Hadnt heard any snow reports recently. Do you know where there still is some along the way ?

Haven't heard of snow on the roads to the park, but had some friends that were in the park late last week and said "lots of snow". I don't see any driving problems, but have been told by many that the nights will be cold and snow is a possiblility that time of the year. I'm not too worried about it, the furnace works fine.

Yellowstone got 15" of snow the day before we pulled in there in 2001. That was June 14th or 15th. It melted fast, but beware - it can easily happen. We'll be at Grand Teton June 22-24 and Yellowstone June 24-30. Looks like we'll just miss you guys.

I've been to Jackson Hole a few times and if you like shops, you'll love it. My wife liked it better than I did. We both liked the Tetons:D .

Jackson Hole is just a huge tourist trap. It's crazy. Good luck finding parking for your truck and tow. The western art galleries are fantastic. About a half day is plenty of time in my opinion. Then head for the Tetons. Have a great trip.
