My dealer contacted STAR, at Dodge, THE ENGINEERS yesterday. Yes, the exhaust brake is compatible. Yes, it has a Mopar part number. NO, it is not warranty approved for the auto. trans.

So, you can buy a Mopar part from and installed by a Dodge dealer, and it is not warranty approved!

Thanks for the information. Does "not warrenty approved" mean that the dealer will not warrenty "just" the Jacob brake system if it fails? How does the Jacob Exhaust brake affect the warrenty on the transmission if the transmission goes out?

Thats right NO transmission warranty. My dealer said they would warranty the transmission with the exhaust brake. But I figured any troubles I would have, would be while towing my 5 wheel, a Long way from home. So I will just wait to see if the Warranty people give the exhaust brake / auto. trans. combo their blessing.
