Thanks for the install directions. I am sure that will answer most my questions when i get time to look through it. Now it just comes down to price, and then in the back of my head i am worried the fact that this would limit turbo upgrades in the future.

go to geno's and buy the button on the stick shift knob. i have it on my truck and it is much easier to use than just a switch on the dash. you don't have to take your hand away from the wheel or the stick shift

e-brake switch

Sounds to me like you want one of these:

This is the Cummins/Jacobs exhaust brake shifter-mounted push-pull switch. It is for the 3rd gen, so it's not a direct plugin for the 2nd gen. I ordered directly from the local Cummins shop, about $80 at the time. This is easily the most ergonomic control on the vehicle aside from the shifter itself. It makes the exhaust brake very useable.

If you search the archives, you'll find that some folks and made their own, starting with a $15 push/pull switch from NAPA. Then you need the wiring and mounting. It's all doable if you're a fabricator at heart. There are other options too.

I highly recommend something close at hand.
