Thanks very much for the information you provided.

I have an appointment with the dealer who sold me the truck and installed the Jacobs E-Brake.

Could you possibly refer me to any documentation that I could present to the dealer's service manager when I get there? It would be helpful to convince them that I got this from an authoritative source.

I think I'll print out your message and take it with me as well.

Thanks again.

Harvey

I don't know what official DaimlerChrysler documentation exists. The Chrysler Star hotline (for dealers) should know about this. If they don't, Star should contact the Cummins hotline and they will be able to figure it out. I've informed the Cummins group.

Carlton,

Do you know when the E-brake from Jacobs will be available for the 48RE transmissions?

Again, thanks for the information and assistance.

I printed out a hard copy of your post of yesterday and will print the most recent as well. I'll take them along when I visit my selling dealer (300 miles distant) Monday morning.

I spoke with the Director of Parts and Service today by phone. He understand the issue and seemed willing to work to find the correct replacement part.

If they are unable to find a solution locally I'll request that they contact Cummins.

Once again, it is a pleasure to deal with Cummins. Great products and equally great service.

Wayne,

Dyno testing is in progress. I hope we will have an answer in early June. I'll post as soon as I have something official.
