So, no vacuum, brake just doesn't work, you can still drive the truck.

True, but I didn't want to drive very long with all the beautiful sounds the pump makes when it goes bye bye. I was worried it would seize up and wreck the belt. Not a happy position to be in on the side of the highway!

I also had trouble with the belt but I had a heck of a time keeping the gasket on the elbow and lining up those tiny pin holes. It's on now though and everything is good again.

I installed mine in about 6 hours, but I'm kind of anal about that kind of stuff so it takes me a while. Worst part for me was installing the new serpentine belt. The old one comes right off. When trying to put the new one on, you would swear that you need to remove the fan to install the new belt. (You don't).

I was planing on a 4" turbo and exhaust , does that E-brake come in a 4" ?

The Jacobs brakes for the CTD 600's are for a 4" exhaust, but I don't know if you could adapt it to an older truck. Aftermarket would be a better way to go for that.

Ya but I am going to change my turbo & exhaust to 4" ,and its a 94 so still looking for an answer.
the next is they take an extra vacume pump or compressor , what about using the vacume pump on the eng. already .

ABout the compressors on the other kinds, can they be used to air up tires?

Too small and I think it's rated duty cycle is like 10% according to the Pakbrake. I installed mine in about 3 hours and thought that the electric compressor was simpler than a mechanical vacuum pump.

Currently, I'm having issues with the relays releasing.
