I have it on mine, havent really noticed a difference mainly due to the fact I always have my foot in it trying out new things.

What mileage are you getting? Solo? Towing?

11-12 towing at 22000 GCVR and 19 mpg highway. 15 mpg combined city and highway. Those are Imperial gallons so deduct roughly 20% for US mpg. Mileage on this truck is quite a disappointment compared to my 03, but it is a bigger truck.

i have 06 megacab 11 to 14 towing depends on speed 18avg town empty 18 to 21 freeway empty dont know why an e brake would chage mileage after having e brake i would never be with out

Just back from a 15 state 6k mile trip pulling a 33' fifth wheel, first jake brake with an automatic xmission... . wouldn't leave home without it again. Got 55. 3 mpg indicated going west from Ruidoso NM, then I got on the flat and wound up with 10. 5 mpg... avg was 10 best was 12. 4 betwen Tucson and Quartsite. Downshifts with the jake on an automatic are an E ticket event

Did your local Dodge dealer install the Jake? My local dealer will install, but they have only installed one long ago. My confidence is not real high in them for this. Can anyone respond with their experience?

Also, what is the average market price for the brake and the install?

Thanks!

Dave Smith quoted me $1450 on a G-56. $100. 00 more for auto.

Thanks guys. My local dealer quoted $1330 for the brake and $560 to install. I think it is a bit steep. I generally do these things myself except for exhaust projects. I generally let a shop do it.
