Guys,

I know that Dodge will warranty the Jake brake, but what about a Pac?

Does any one know who has the best price around on a Jake Brake?

We have been told that Dodge warranty is also good with the Pac Brake and we have installed several Pac brakes. They work great and are now integrated with the PCM in the truck. Pac is also offering a couple of options such as a storage tank you can run air horn off etc. and a switch on the clutch so the brake does not engage while shifting. If you are interested in the Pac brake call us for a quote.

This is not completely accurate. If a third party brake causes a power train issue (turbo, exhaust valve, power cylinder, etc. ), it will not be covered under the DaimlerChrysler warranty. Any issue not related to the third party exhaust brake is still covered under warranty.

Because warranty will apply with the Jacobs/Cummins/Mopar exhaust brake, extensive testing (both test cell and vehicle) has been conducted to insure compatibility.

Carlton,

Has there ever been a Jacobs/Cummins/Mopar exhaust brake causing a power train issue that you know of occurring?

Thanks Ken

Had Pac on my 00, worked good. Have the Jake on the 03, works better especially at lower rpm where the Pac was weak.

Jake is covered by DC for 3/36 new car or 12 mo. / 12k which ever is more favorable to owner.

Jake brake assembly is coverede for 5yr/ 100k mi. by Jake.

My personal experience, I have no vested or unvested interest in either Pac or Jake.
