I am getting ready to finally order a set of jammer 2's and was wondering what to expect. I have a comp already so if I turn it off will I still be able to tow with the stock turbo. I have a full set of guages so I can keep an eye on things. Has anyone ever not been happy when getting bigger injectors? After the fun factor has calmed down, does most everyone see improved fuel mileage? I am only getting about 15. 2 mpg now on mixed city/highway and would like to see that improved. What can I expect as far as boost numbers are concerned? I am getting about 30 now on 5x5. I am gonna do the install myself and have read just about every install thread on here so i think i can handle that. Any input is appreciated.

i have never used the jammer 2's but you should be fine with the comp turned down or off, 1x1 or 2x1 may be ok. just need to keep an eye on the EGT's

how much weight are you pulling? are you running an auto or stick? what gears are you running 4:10 3:54 ?

as far as MPG goes you may see a little better 1-2

boost will be ok with the box turned down.

fill out your Sig. so we can see what your truck is and what you have done to it

info is in the sig other than 355 gears, gross weight is usually in the 20-25k lbs range. truck and empty trailer weigh around 11k and 10-14k of cargo, short distances mostly.

My advise on injector install is to start with #6. That's the hardest. If you can do that, it's all downhill from there.

I think the stock turbo is inadequate for the Comp alone, if you want to burn all the fuel. I ran a Comp + 90HP injectors and still have the stock turbo. When towing, run Comp on 1x1 for the EGT benefit of the advanced timing and keep an eye on the pyro, you'll be fine.

Is that 15. 2 mpg you quoted with or without trailer? Have you calibrated your speedometer for your larger than stock tires?

15. 2mpg is just the truck, had the speedo calibrated at the dealer and seems to be close although i have never checked with gps so it may be off a little. I have a big replacement bumper on the front and i know that creates a lot of extra drag. Right after I got the truck when it had stock tires and no grille guard I would get around 18. truck also doesnt have the axle disconnect on the front axle and i would assume that would make some difference as well.

replaced the IAT last spring looking for some improvement but saw none, hated to spend another 35 or 40 bucks on the map with the chance of getting the same result

I think you will get worse mileage with the bigger injectors, mostly becaue you will want to use all that new power... if you can keep you foot out of it you will get about the same mileage as you do now.

I get about 75 more miles to a tank of fuel with my injectors. I dont have a problem with egt's on 1x2. other than that watch your pyro

So true about keeping your foot out of it. The first tank will evaporate. :)

My mileage went up by at least 1 mpg after the injectors.

i completly expect for the first tank to be bad but maybe just rolling down the highway it will improve some, I'll take a chance, not exactly doing it for the mileage anyway.

Im thinking about going to Jammer 5's however, I need a front bumper 1st, just got done plowing into a Caravan and took out the rear window on it:(
