Guys,

Big Don here. Been real busy. For starters, Ol Blue now has @ 198,000 miles and the head gasket let go. While I had her down I had the head checked and figured why not make some mods. I went back with a HX 35 off of my 2000 and the same 14cm exh housing on my 89. I put the cast turn down off of a 2000 also. I then took one of the Jardine 4" exhaust system systems I had in stock and proceded to install it on the first gen. It was a system for a second gen truck. I had to clip two places in the firewall/floor pan seam and bent it back. Then I had to smack a dent in the backside of the down piep to choke it in some to clear. Then I had to bend the down pipe a little more where it is already bent, just a little more maybe 5-10 degrees more. Once under the truck everything went well. I used all the hangers that came with the kit and it went great. So now I have a first gen truck with a complete 4" exh with minimal mods.

Just sharing incase anyone has wondered if it will work.

Don its good to here from you, we thought that you had dropped off the edge or something. Glad to here ol'blue is alive and well. Was that a modified HX-35 that you put on(bigger compressor wheel) or regular and if it was a modified than did it help? How is the sound of the jardine? Pretty noisy going down the road or? Hope all is well. Danny
