Should The Man Have To Pay?

Is there a doc. in the house?

Is anyone familiar with Jasper Engines? I just interviewed with them for a position in sales and was wondering about their reputation. Their add says:

"Jasper Engines and Transmissions is the nation's largest mass remanufacturer of drive train componenets. "

Their info. says they rebuild gas and diesel engines up to Class 8. Also transmissions, rearends, and electric motors.

I did a search and came up with only one hit. Please give any and all pros and cons.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Gene:

Don't know how they are to work for but I have used one of their engines and had several buddies use their engines and they are very nice. High quality stuff.

I'll vouch for their product and their customer support, and I've heard that their employees are lifers. I don't know if that means sale personnel though, since most companies seem to have different expectations from sales than they do from technical and labor staff.

Jasper sponsors a car in the NASCAR circuit, if that means anything :)

I live about 4 miles from Jaspers home office (Jasper,In) and know several people that work , or have worked for them. The ones in sales seem to like it well , the ones in the plant , ehh not so much. As far as their quality goes , you hear good and bad . I know one guy that got 3 of their rebuilds before he got a good one , but others swear by them. I was however told that a intl. diesel was supposed to be shipped by xxxxx date and when it was one the test stand it appeared to have a small crack in the head so they fixed it (JBweld) and shipped it . I do know this though the people that swear by em' seem to out number the people that swear at em' Which location would you be at? Good luck , hope it works out for ya'

Thanks for the response. Keep me in your prayers, I've been out of work for almost a year. I really need a good job NOW!

Thanks,

Gene
