Jim,

Those are traction bars. Different than a track bar. They help keep the rear leaf springs from winding up upon accelleration.

Thats a real good price for traction bars though. :)

You should have got a track bar from NAPA. They come with a lifetime warranty.

I would look at Lukes Links. You can rebuild the frame end of your bar for about 40 bucks. I also looks a lot stronger than the original. A few guys have used Lukes and like them. :)

OOPS, I didn’t even read the hole thing, sorry. but I think I'll try the luks link. It looks like the way to go, thanks

Gumbs77, I tried those JCW traction bars on my '90 Bronco 2 when I had it. Talk about a low quality product, mine were made by Desert Steel. They were very difficult to install and were not a direct bolt up (read: required considerable fabrication). Even with that gutless, torqueless 2. 7L V-6, they really wore out fast.

Ya, I was after the trac bar for the front-end not the traction bars fore the rear-end but thanks for the info. I think I'll steer clear of those. Monday I will call and order lukes links. Thanks
