Use a 12 valve to power generator?

Just bought one last week in florida its a silver limited with 26,000 miles for $18,500, its in mint condition, drove it home to massachusetts. I was running between 80-90 the whole way and still pull 28-29 mpg! This was doing the math, the computer said 26. 5. I really like it, my 12 yr old son loves it. I sold my 2003 liberty sport with only 32000 miles on it for $10. 500, I could not stand getting only 13-16 mpg. It was cheaper to run around in my Ram. The reason why I bought the jeep is because its easier to run around in and park than my big girl Under the hood there was a sticker that said something about a reflash of the tc. Is this part of the recall on the tc, I thought it had to be replaced? :)

We just got a silver 05 limited last week also. Wife loves it! Have you been on the lostkj site ( L. O. S. T KJs Offical Web Site - For Jeep Liberty KJ Owners ). There is a separate section for the CRDs, lots of good info there.

I was able to get all the maintenance records on ours and is just shows the torque converter replace, no reflash. A lot of owners over on the kj site where complaining about power loss after reflash

would a dealer be able to run my vin # and tell me if the tc was replace or reflashed. What was wrong with the tc's anyway, and what would reflashing do??

A friend of mine has one and has had a lot of transmission problems. It went out once a year ago and the dealer replaced some parts, not sure what. Now this last week he was in st. louis and it stranded him. He rented a car for $350 to get back to KC and the dealer called monday and said it was fine come and get it. Well it made it to Columbia before it quit him again. He doesn't have it back yet but he's ordered a new vehicle (toyota tacoma) and will be trading the CRD in as soon as it's drivable. He's demanding a completely new transmission from DC and not let the dealer try to rebuild like they did the first time.

I understand that it has to do with a shudder at 45-55mph. The dealer should be able to look a the vin and get a history for any work that was done at any dealership.

TC recall

I had the TC recall done on my jeep done a few months ago and i still have the shudder around 55 to 60. But I don't notice that much as I only drive it every once in a while.
