We purchased a 2011 Patriot Sport 4X4 a little over a year ago, and we love it. It has recently turned over 14K miles with no major issues. It has power windows, power door locks, and the 2. 4l 4-cylinder engine with the CVT (constantly variable transmission). The 4wd system works seemlessly in inclement weather - rain, snow and ice. Digs right in. Since we don't travel off road, except for the half-mile, moon-cratered dirt road to the house, I can't say how it would do off-road, but the Jeep website shows some good videos and it appears to be a very capable off-roader; although it may not be the best mud bogger. Our average MPG between fill-ups range between 23 and 27. The engine is amazingly peppy and the transmission is programmed to hook-up for maximum efficiency and power when requested by the right foot

. Required maintenance is extremely minimal so cost of ownership is low. AND. . it has a lot more interior room than it appears it should, especially for the back seat passengers. Kinda like the TARDIS in Dr. Who.
Our biggest complaint is the small odd shaped fuel tank; approx. 13. 6 gallon. Its shape causes the last quarter shown on the gauge to fly fairly quickly to the E, and the warning light comes on with very little fuel left in the tank, assuming the 13. 6 is an accurate figure for the tank size. I have put upward of 14. 3 gallons in it with the gauge reading just above the E. It still gets over 300 miles on a tank though. Must be designed for the big city crowd. I guess I'm just spoiled with the 34 gallon tank in my CTD.
I seem to get the wife excited when I'm driving the Jeep at night and it starts to rain - I turn the lights OFF

- and boy does it get dark out in the country!!! The wiper knob on my '02 CTD is on the left stalk, which is where the Jeep's light switch is. The Jeep's wiper is controlled by a stalk on the right side of the steering column. Oops...
