Jeep sites?

I have bought my first (really the first one I'm actually trying to do ) restoration project. A 1948 CJ2A. Does anyone know of a forums like the TDR for Jeeps? I've found some places on the web to get parts but I was hoping for a forum. I intend to sand blast the frame this weekend but was hoping to do the brakes. I've found a 9" to 11" drum brake conversion for about $650. Seems like I would be able to do disk brakes for that kind of money. Anyone have any knowledge in this area?

You're right, that sounds a little steep for a brake conversion, it does save a lot of leg work getting it in a package though.

This is a great site, but probably not much use for you, as the main focus is on "modern" Jeeps. But, you might run into somebody doing the same or similar stuff.

Matt , check out these two forums. They have quite a bit of CJ2-3 stuff for the older models. I have a 1981 CJ5 in restoration now(rolling chassis done) If you need any advise on sandblasting or anything I can help with , let me know.
