Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Jerking problem at ~50mph

No, I'm not talking about the guy driving next to me ! At 50-55 mph the truck "bucks" or jerks about two times in fourth gear under heavy acceleration and again at 60-65 in fifth. Any thoughts? TIA

Dead lift pump and or clogged fuel filter would be my guess.

Agree with lift pump. When mine went bad only thing noticable was a slight bucking under load. Mine seemed to be at low RPM though.

Sounds like a dead LP and/or dirty filter. Change the filter, check the presure. Mine did that once. Then the VP44 went bye bye!
