2003 Thunder In Muncie. Good video.

Heres real torque!

My buddy works at the airport as an aircraft mechanic and gets waste jet fuel for free. They drain some out of the tanks each day to check for moisture. Since it costs big $$ to dispose of it they just turn a blind eye when he loads it up.

He's used Jet A for over 60,000 miles on an old VW Jetta that has over 250,000 miles on it already. He also burns Jet A in his oil burning furnace and oil burning hot water heater. It is definately dryer than #2 and he dumps some transmission fluid in when using it in the car. I'm not sure I'd risk big $$ repairs to the fuel pump in my truck though.

According to the Cummins Operations and Maintenance Manual for B Series engines, under Fuel Recommendations and acceptable alternate fuels, the Bosch VE pump can use Jet A if blended with 5% new lube oil to increase the lubricity to an acceptable level. It also says that the Bosch P pump can burn Jet A without any additives.

Now, from military experience, if you run JP-8 through a diesel engine for a long period of time, you are going to have to change the fuel filters shortly after you start to use it and in some applications, the seals in the fuel pump may dry out and leak.
