What I can remember, best concerts: Grateful Dead,Red Rocks"70",Stones:72 Greely(except for Eltons suprize appearance). Quicksilver messenger service,71,(forget where?). The Nitty gritty dirt Band, 73,Boulder(I think). New Riders of Purple Sage 73,Denver. Worked as a roady for a local band for a year right after Army in 70. Had a lead guitar player who could do all Hendrixs stuff, play behind the back, with his teeth, and so on. Hendrix was a electical genius with an average talent and a unique style in my opinion.

Honorable mention: Pure Prarie Leauge,Spirit,Jefferson Airplane,Its a beautiful day,Poco,Sly and the family stone,The Eagles,Canned Heat, and soooo many more... Never to old to rock.

Champ, we had/have the same tastes. You are the first person in years that I've heard mention The New Riders or It's a Beautiful Day, two of my favorite bands. Seen NRPS several times when Garcia played pedal steel with them. All their stuff is now available on CD.

I am updateing some of my old vinyl. Just got Panama Red in CD. The internet is awesome for music. I like some of the newer groups to.
REM,Colective soul,Cracker,to name a few. Gotta keep up with the good stuff. However like most of the old rockers,I just can't recognize Rap and Hip Hop as music. Maybe as ghetto poetry, but not music. Keep on rockin.

You guys are really jogging the memory path with me
Haven't been flooded with such nostalgia for awhile.
Red Rocks for so many great shows.
Pink Floyd at the Mile High
Regretfully forgetting It's a Beautiful Day, really a great show.
NRPS also rock the house
Saw Billy Preston practically throw elton john of the stage when he took over Billy's keyboard at the Stones concert,Forum in LA sometime in the 70's,
There was a time when you were allowed to take pictures at concerts. Got a really cool picture of Zepelin's John Bonham his hands a blur,a drop of sweat on the tip of his nose.

A good freind of mine saw Zeplin in Denver and said that John was so loaded he was puking in a five gallon bucket and playing at the same time. I just missed the Famous Doors concert in Miami, where Morrison was arrested. But my roomate at Hunter was there.
