Dont look in her night stand ???????

Problem with welding machine

I've met a number of friendly and helpful people since becoming a TDR member back in the 90s. The TDR has been a great resource to network for just about everything and anything. With graduation only a month away, I figured why not see if anyone has any job leads, connections, or advice for a young guy like myself. Our professors tell us over and over that about 80% of all jobs will be found through a network of our family and friends or someone along those lines.

Kyle,

Try to spice up your resume with impahasis on the practicality of the jobs you had in the past. Just dont make it sound to fluffy. There are still a few people in the real world who respect real world experinces along with formal education. If you can find an employer like this you should have an advantage.

Kyle,

SLO is a tough place to find work - I spent 7 years there as a student at Cal Poly. Unfortunately, there is a lot more supply of highly qualified people for not many decent paying jobs. There were PhD's pouring coffee at Starbucks..... I was making bank at $12/hour as an equipment assembler back in '92/'93 - the company would only hire Mechanical Engineering students.

Good luck finding a well paying job.

Brian
