Rambill, Also get out and vote. We need to get Bush in to save all the other rights we have that are treatened. Like access to our public land that Cllinton has already shut us out of. This whole energy thing is his making with the poor administration and botched handling of the situation. Gore will not be any better. But what can you expect from a guy who dropped out of lawyer school. , who stood next to Clinton in Washington and declared him one of the "greatest presidents" after the Monica trial was over. The man is a liar and he has had a good teacher. VOTE BUSH.

I agree, Vote BUSH! My father and I are and have been members or the NRA. Bush is for the Sportsman, thats what my bumper sticker says from the American Rifleman magazine. I think all this gun crap Gore is pushing is just another excuse for people without common sense. When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. nuf said by me.

In my opinion the NRA are just like TV preachers. "Send in you money or you guns are goin to Hades" Well I have been sending in my money for years and they are still going to hades . I think I will spend my money where it will to the most good. To the law makers. My Congressman and Senator. Besides the first gun control act was supported by the NRA. It was called the NFA. National Firearms Act of 1934. Check it out. They agreed to go along with it as long as the Govt. would not try and take other guns besides the full auto and short barrel rifles and shotguns. Did not work did it? Never trust the govt. when it comes to you rights. And never give away any of your rights for any reason. Sorry but the NRA is aways trying to make everyone happy and you just cannot do that when it comes to you Constitutional rights.

Murle, GOA and JPFO are much more B*lls to the wall, no comprimise type organizations, but they lack the numbers unfortunatly.

I too feel that rights are "given from God" thus cannot/should not be bargained away.

I was only an average student in public school, but I was tought that the definition of "comprimise" meant, you gave away, or lost something you really didnt want to, and you gained something that was not expected in return for your loss.

Whenever I hear "NRA and comprimise" in the same sentence, I whip out the vasoline anymore.

Big changes will be coming. The next Pres. is expected to pick 3-4 Supreme court justices. This will effect the individual citizens rights for decades. Probibally the rest of my life.

I will vote Bush,but I continue to send in whatever I can afford to GOA, and JPFO.

I'm still an NRA life member, regardless of their "week knee" stance on going head to head with this administration.

As far as putting faith in my politicians, we've done that route. They'll promise you the world, then when elected... . it's BOHICA time.

The Govt also said that your S. S# was to be NEVER used as an identification number. You OWN the property, or you ARE the property?

Sounds like Dodge diesels are the only thing we have in common. As a member of the NRA for over 20 years, they no longer will get a penny of mine. Recently had gun stolen from truck, Supplied the NRA with police report and all other paperwork re: their insurance policy. After numerous phone calls and other hassels over the phone, the NRA has paid nothing. After they blamed the American government for the bombing and cover up of the Federal buildidng in Oklahoma City, that got my attention. Then when they refused to move their annual convention in Colorado after the school shooting, that was the last straw. I understand what they are trying to do for us, I just don't believe in the way they are doing it. Anyway, my truck runs fine.

Mr. T, You are correct. Forget the NRA when you try to get them to pay for your gun loss. They will only pay if you have no other insurance. Like truck insurance or homeowners. Been there and done that. Their claim that your guns are insured is a lie. Remember alway read the fine print. I think it is underhanded,but what do you expect from people beging for money all the time?

Okay so we don't agree on the NRA as the best organization to support. We still are all in the same boat when it comes to Diesel fuel prices. Are there still a few of us who believe the Big Oil Companies are gouging us on prices? After what we saw of the discussion on reducing the fuel tax and the discussion on why we have no new domestic production or refining capacity in the past 10 years, we should all be in agreement that a conservative government run by us can solve this mess and get us off the foreign oil teat. As a side issue if conservatives are running things instead of liberals the gun issue will be taken care of too.

Please don't try to tell us that it won't work. We've seen the cumulative effect that sucessive liberal Congresses have had on our country's laws, and schools. It is time for a Conservative President, Senate and House to be in power at one time and move us in the RIGHT direction. It has never happened in most of our lifetimes. I'm anxious to give it a try.
