Well do I feel dumb but happy. My "Bad temp gauge" turned out to be a bad thermostat (I think, havnt changed it yet) I watched the gauge move a little today while driving around and got to wondering with this very cold weather we are having - 50deg remember this is Texas and thats cold to most folks here. I put some cardboard in front of the radiator and would you believe the temp came up just fine and at 190deg I took it out and went around the block and the gauge was back down to 140-145, so thermstat time I bet. Thats way easier than trying to find a gauge problem.
