Here I am

Jordan Ultima or Tekonsha Prodigy or ???

Thanks, TDR Staff

Neat RV (Motorhome?)

Storage options for enclosed trailer

Both controllers get very good reviews by everyone on the board, the Prodigy is probably easier to install but the Jordon might be a little more precise. The only thing about the Jordon is that I here you should disconnect the cable assy when not in use to prevent excessive wear is this true?

Yes, this is a recommendation, but I'm not aware of any problems among those of us who don't bother to disconnect the control cable. Having used the time-based single output (Reese Brakeman I), inertial (Tekonsha Sentinel) and true proportional (Jordan Ultima 2020) controllers, the performance of the Jordan stands head and shoulders above the others I've tried. I wouldn't tow our 13,500 lb 5ver with anything else. :D

Unless Carl's running a group purchase or something, go straight to Jordan right HERE. When you call, chances are you'll speak to Jordan himself! :D

Thanks for the clarification Rusty. I do agree that the pendulum type is no good but the Prodigy does work very well.

That's what I hear. Not having used one, I couldn't comment on its performance.

Just installed a Jordan on my truck for a 40' gooseneck that we carry two race cars on. the brake controller is the best I have had except for one minor problem. The stop light fuse keeps blowing out. It never did that with the other brake controller I had. I used the same wires with the new one.

Carl is working on another group purchase for the Jordan. It will be available only to those who subscribe to his free email newsletter. Go to his site and sign up. I was lucky enough to get in on his last group purchase for the Jordan... was a hair under $100, shipping included.

Racer99 -

I don't understand how this could be since the Jordan doesn't use the brake light wire. The Jordan uses only 3 wires (battery +, battery - and trailer brake) from the brake controller pigtail - since it senses brake application through the control cable, it doesn't need a signal from the brake light like other controllers. If you have the brake light wire on the pigtail hooked up to something on the Jordan (which it shouldn't be), I can understand why you'd be blowing fuses.

Rusty,

Think I may know what the problem is. Last week I ran off in the ditch with the trailer. I think I may have shorted some of the wires that hook up the lights on the back of the trailer. Will have to check in the morning.

Thanks for the info,

Barry

I subscribed on Carls' site and got an e-mail confirmation. I can't find the group deal yet. Maybe it takes more time. Does anyone have a phone # for Carl?

The email newsletter I got about 2 weeks ago said the he was working on another gp with Jordan and it would be for a limited number of units. Subscribers to his email newsletter would be notified first. If the subscribers did not buy the total allotment, then the gp would be posted on his website for the remainder. He is still working on the deal, but you will be notified if you signed up for the email newsletters.

The Jordan deal is on right now. Carl has negotiated a lot more units than he expected. You must say you want the wwcd2 group special. It will be about $20 less than Jordan's regular price and shipping will be included.
