pias has a formula and with his compressor maps he can give us the basic set up then you fine tune it with the exhaust housings I will give him a jingle this week after these blasted hollidays

Thats why i sent the H2E turbo off to be modified. Need to know how much it helps. Then we will know if the HX-55W will work. Or we could use the H2E to help spool up the HX-55W.

Hopefully the ultimate turbo is the next one that i,m trying. Dual ballbearing, water cooled bearing housing, and wastegated. Should spool up faster than a HX-35 12cm,but flow more air than a HX-55W. We will see.

I was considering the twin thing but if I can get one to work right that would be great.
The thing I've heard about twins is backpressure becomes a problem, you would like the pressure coming out of the head to be much less than the pressure driving the second turbo, in that way you put the bigger turbo in the front to drive the smaller turbo in the back. The bigger front turbo doesn't lag because its driving the smaller one more making much more boost.
or maybe I'm backwards. I'd really like twin turbos in parallel going to one big one in the back, three. #ad

what kind of low end does it have these turbos are all fine for the high side but if you want a full range setup I think you will be suffering with these bigger chargers the back pressure deal is workable with the right tuning on the exhaust housings it just takes some time I will be calling pias(AKA "THE TURBO GOD") this week to find out his thoughts so be ready Adam I hope he has some time for us this week the other option is maybe four turbos, 6000 rpm, water injection, and 1800 hp oh sorry this isn't a John Deere, my mistake LOL

Wiz1,

Hope he is able to make a workable turbo set up. Usually a twin turbo set up for the street uses a small turbo with a bypass valve to get a big turbo going. If you run 2 turbos in series you need big enough exh housings to control back pressure. That takes away from your low end throttle responce. What works on a 6000rpm pulling tractor is not going to do much on a 7000# truck stop light to stop light.

The basic premise will work its just finding the right combonation we run what is called a staged set up I hope to have some info soon all I can say in our defence is watch and be amazed
