I just got back from a local performance shop here inquiring about a DD clutch (The owner knows Im a die hard Dodge fan) And he shows me a fax he got from Edge saying that the juice boxes for the CR cummins are ready for order! He has 5 on order right now. Well just see how this pans out, he has gotten one of these before to just have his order get revoked because of the recall on the boxes.

Strange, I just got an email about being a beta tester for my 04. 5, so I don't think the final product is ready yet.

Maybe they meant the Juice for the 305/555's is ready for shipment.

juice!

I just talked to a Edge Rep today at schieds and he said the juice would be out for the 04. 5's within a month or so and the 03 and 04's won't be out for several months! :{

That doesn't make any since. Why would it take longer when it is obviously a lot less complex and they have been working on it longer? I think they may have told you wrong.

During the "Weekend on the Edge" over the 13-14 of August, I was doing an interview for the TDR, and was told each of the 3G engines are different in the way the injection works, so one box will not work on all of them. Therefore they have to design 3 different boxes. Was told the first one for the 600 would be out within 60 days.

Well, I am sure it is totally different. I didn't question that. What I said was they have been working on the 03-04 design for 2 years longer and it is far less complicated that the 04. 5. So why were they able to come up with a quick design for the 600 and not the 03-04 trucks? Sounds like the ol' next month BS again.

It was explained to me that the power enhancement they are working on for the Dodge/Cummins application will be very much like the ones used in the Duramax in terms of being able to control settings from within the cab. They refer to this as the "Juice" and along with the "attitude" controller will replace gauges and will display EGT, BOOST Engine loads etc. It will also monitor the automatic transmission TC slippage and if slippage is detected, will de-fuel to reduce power level. It does the same thing if too high of EGT is detected.

Hey,

I talked to Edge Thursday about the Juice. Same thing -- 04. 5 will be out very soon and is entering beta testing now. No ETA on the 03-04. Different box for each truck... Didn't the TST PMCR work on both models?

TSTs are available for all model year CTDs, but are different versions of the software. Installation also varies slightly based on the model year.
