Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them. I was pulling my 14000 lb Hitchhiker 5th wheel up a pretty steep, and long mountian pass (approx 11,000 ft above sea level). I have a brand new juice w/attitude. I was keeping my EGT's at 1250 my engine temp was 226 (at it's highest). The truck was running great when about 100 yards from the top my attitude monitor just shut off (went completely blank). My '05 Dodge truck never missed a beat and went to the top. When I got to the top, with risk of people thinking my Dodge truck was giving me problems, I popped the hood to feel the edge juice box and man was it hot. I couldn't even think about keeping my hand on it (it was that hot). I then just decided to go on. After I went about 10 more miles I pulled over at a rest stop let the truck cool, shut off the engine, felt the juice box (it was just warm to the touch this time), restarted the truck and every thing was working fine again. Anyone out there ever had this happen to them? Sorry for the long explanation, I just wanted to let you know what was happening. Thanks for all of your help.

Haven't had that happen. Mine will freeze up occasionally (display still on, but numbers don't change), cause the engine to throw an overboost code, and then I'll have to pull over, shut the engine off, clear the codes and then start back up again and everything is fine.

Ive had the same problem. The first time it locked up with the display still on. Edge had me download a new program. (latest OS from microsoft) It seems the first OS was to small, not enough memory and would cause it to lock up.

Second time it happened i was having problem with the juice not the A2, edge sent me new Juice and a nother new program.

Third time it happened Edge said to "free up some memory" by elimnating some of the guage optios and some of the Tom Tom options, then they said if this doesnt work to get a 2G SD card... . im not holding my breath for it to work correctly.

Mine is "hicupping" under a load. Seems somewhere around 40-50 it will do this. I can turn it off and the truck wont do it. . I'll call them next week. I have never had a problem with Edge. Good customer service.

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone agree the 226 degree water temp should have been a hint to back out of it?? not sure, but that's my 2 cents worth. . I have never even gotten my motor hotter than maybe 210 max... . My juice works great, however they did not leave too long of a harness to get it out of the hot engine compartment. Any of y'all have this same problem?

Never in all of my pulling years have I ever had a problem with my dodges not being able to take 226 degrees. I've pulled as high as 230 (won't recommend that for long periods of time) but 226 has never given me any problems. If you have ever pulled a hill as steep as some of these Colorado passes with a decent load and kept your EGT's in check you too would easily see 226. Thanks for your concern though.

I too have had my monitor freeze and then had to have stop and restart the truck to reinitialize it. This only happened one time though. Like I stated earlier though the juice box was hot enough that you couldn't hardly touch it. Enigne temp at 226 won't shut that down. I already talked to edge about that. Any other thoughts though would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

I have had a juice box on a Wusamax, that every time it got to hot to touch it would kill the truck. Cool the box down and it worked again. Only would do it on 100 degree days and towing or hot rodding. Edge just swapped it out for me.
