Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) juice with attitude year settings

my 2001 has the older style map sensor. but edge said to use 2001-2002 setting when i called them. my build plate on the door says Feb 2000. which year setting should i use? the manual said putting the wrong year in could send the wrong boost signal has anyone experienced this ?

Model years typically don't follow calender years. So, a build date won't always matter. I'd go by what Edge said.

The last eight of the VIN is the best way to tell what model year you have for any newer vehicle. This determines what year the truck is titled and registered as.



If the last eight of your VIN starts with a Y, your truck is a 2000. If the last eight of your VIN starts with a 1, it is a 2001, and so on.
