RMTDR July 25 welcome for out-of-town TDR members @ Cummins?

I'm in for sure. I'm also trying to bring my friend and new CTD owner Ray with. He just picked up a 1995 2500 reg cab 4x4 after drooling over mine for a year.

So 6. 5, possibly 7. 5 here. Probably not going to play on the rollers though.

MNTOM sounds like he's out for a wedding and he's not happy about it. :)

Make that 9. 5 if i can talk the old man in to coming with and maybe rolling his truck on to the rollers if we get the transmission straightened out.

Any of you hot-rodders (there might be one or two) that want to find out how fast your truck actually is in the quarter, get your truck weighed in. I can enter the weight into the machine and we can simulate a quarter mile run.

Also, if you guys can figure out what your start and stop speed would be for your run, that would help for any power curve. I am planning on giving everyone a 12 second run to get a power curve. For example, on my truck, to get a power curve you need to have the test start at 20 mph and end it at 65 mph. That corresponds to just off idle on my truck to 3400 rpm. So guys, if you can get that information before the run, it'll help move things along.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me.

What is the proper way to run an automatic without a torque converter locking switch?

I was going to ask "the day of" but might as well get it out of the way now.

Automatics are tricky. But the only way I know of, is to put it on Direct (OD off) and let it shift until it gets to high gear. Then roll onto the throttle. The run window will have to be modified to accomodate the different speeds that will be used. You can't stab the throttle like you would on a manual because the TC will unlock and/or down shift and ruin the run. We can discuss it more the day of if you like.

Yea, Sobiesky. Randall sunday the 4th 1pm next pull. Jeff H, do you go to many of these pulls- do I know you? I haven't got a hold of jeff or kay about the 10th yet. may be tied up that day family reunion. gonna see if i can get away early. Dave

Good grief Andy, just saw ya at the shop Friday night and you knew nothing. So how do you get to know something? Oh by the way, the lift is still on the picker, waiting for you to get it into the 1 ton... ... ... ... ... ... . lol. You should be able to handle that all by yourself.
