Dockboy, I thought I made it clear, I said TRUCK. Not an underpowered cowboys Cadillac. :D

Fords are nice cruisers, but they just can't get it done in competition. ;)

Hey Gene... . I'll tell you what... . show up at the drag strip in a 8000 lb truck of your choice... and we will see who, and what, can compete with my "underpowered cowboys Cadillac" and what can't :--)

No rules to hide behind..... run what you brung..... tell me when and where..... or are you afraid to be humiliated by a Powerstroke? :-laf :D

Just got 2 (rear)on a couple days ago... havent hooked'um yet.

Have the other 2 waiting in the garage (havent had time to get them mounted and balanced).

If I get the driveshafts back on this afternoon then I will probably hook tonight... .

The Nitto Mud Grapplers had no problems on that track. :-laf

Now I just need a touch more power to hold my feeble RPMs up a bit longer.

Seven feet short of Robert Miller's run; at my low RPM... :D :D :D not too bad.

Fourth Place goes to my Third Gen at 274-6.

I think the Chebby they gave 278 ft pulled 268 and they scored it wrong. I was standing at the 270 and it didn't get that far. The announcer said "270. . no... 260-eight feet. That's 268 feet. " That's what he said. Who knows; maybe I'm confusing trucks.

Just glad to get top 5 after driving that far!

5th gear launch... I sure as heck hope the clutch holds up.

With the mudders on I was worried about too much bite right off the bat (probably shouldn't have been concerned on that track) so I let it build slow. About 2500 rpm started slipping it out and managed full engage pretty quick -- was at wot by 20 ft.

Gene schooled me a bit.

If I had 4,000rpm that would have been win for the third gens; I only needed 7 more feet.

... since we can't do anything about rpm right now I'm on a hunt for some more power to hold what little I have up there.

5th gear is rockin!!

Put it to the floor next time from the get go and start walkin it out...

Glad someone was there to give you some pointers :D I think gene probably knows what he's doing ;)

Mark, if your willing to drive to PA for a pull you might want to consider stopping in Indiana some time... we have some great pulls here.

My concern on a heavy throttle launch with mudders is a 'bog'+shudder+hop -- then BOOM; breakage. I'll have to play it out based on the track I guess. Would have been better to get on it harder and faster on that gravel track though. That might have made the win right there.

Mark-I seen your pull and it looked great. Good job-looks to me a little more power and youll be there. Whats the deal with a FORD in the top 4 in pro-street 2 nites in a row????LOL

That Ford is Cummins powered! He needs to put a big Cummins 'C' on that thing; he's giving the Ford guys false hope. lol

Dockboy, let me see if Dennis will loan me a truck... maybe at Scheids?

Gene... . where you going to put the extra 2000lbs to make Dennis' truck weigh 7800+? LOL!!

And not at Schieds little 1/8... . you afraid to race on a Big Boys track?? :{ :-laf

Ahem . . . " in a 8000 lb truck of your choice" . . . . "run what you brung"

Now wait just a minute here, either theys rules, or they isn't. Can't have it both ways if yer gonna say "run what you brung".

Yea old Dockboys rules keep changing by the minute. " Run What Fordboy Tells You To Bring So he Can Win" type of deal. :-laf

Ok, no go on Scheids, name the track of your choice, then we'll work on a convenient date for both of us. (and the third party loaner vehicle. )

Sebek is leaving for Colorado soon, but I'll have to break in and hotwire it.

Mark, nice hook, and thanks for coming!!

I'd like to thank all the DHRA pullers who made the trip, the locals are still talking about it, they are impressed and I think more than a :-laf few just gave up on gasser pulls!!

LOL!!

I meant no rules as... ... turbo has to be X size, can't run this, can't run that, ect. !! LOL!!

You really think a race between a 5500 lb. truck and and a 8000 lb truck would be a fair test? ;)

I challanged Gene to race me with an 8000 lb Cummins powered truck. Win or loose, I gaurantee I'd open his eyes a little!!! :p :-laf

GOOD!! :)

Must be at least 7800 lbs... ..... Tell me when and where :D

8000, 7800 make up your mind!!!

Like I know what that dragracing junk weighs. I thought all Trucks were 8000+.

I'll just bring Dads Dually with 275s and an Edge box, no pump wire, that should be suffcient.
