Looking for Diesel performance shop in Larmie, WY

Alrighty, here's what's going on.

TIME: 9am till the cows come home!

From what I have gathered, we CAN do the KDP fix on first, and second gen trucks. Amianthus and ChillyDog are bringing their Timing kits. Both of these gentlemen also know how to install the Gov spring kits and will be willing to help with these items.

I will try and get some Hot dogs, Brats, Burgers, Chips and some pop. I won't be able to get a lot of pop, so if you have a favorite, bring some. I will also get some beer, but again, if you have a favorite bring some. I have a bon-fire pit and will have a small fire going as the night progresses. I will try and clean out my garage, so if it rains we can nose the trucks in to work on them.

Anyother questions... . feel free to ask!

Josh

Sounds like this will be a blast!

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in coming up to Brainerd after the BOMB party to do some drag racing with our trucks? BIR has what they call street drags just about every other wendsday night from 5:00 pm until dark, the last time I went it was $20. 00 to run what you brung and race your buddies. Tech at the time was pretty simple ( good brakes secured battery, helmet, etc. but that was a couple of years ago and I was low to mid 13's with my GTA. Alot of people come from all around with their rice burners and muscle cars and I thought we could show them just how fast a diesel can be:p .

If anyone is interested I can check on the exact dates, fees, and saftey requirements and post them tomorrow. I think it would be a blast to burn some rice:D

best regards,

Kurt.

P. S. I was not sure if I should have put this post on it's own thread. Sorry if I goofed.

As fun as that might be, my clutch is not up to task. That, and I will probably be busy with relatives in the 'Cities for most of the weekend.

If anyone wants some killer parts to stack their deck for BIR, let me know and I will bring them with me so they can be installed at Josh's. If not, no worries.

It's always a good time to promote more events! If guys are interested, which we seem to have, I'd be interested in trying to put together a local MN or MPLS chapter of the TDR. We can chat about it more this weekend and go from there!

Josh

Good idea Josh,

I am all for that. It would be nice to have some events to go to and meet fellow members in our area. I want to have some fun with my truck and see what others have done to theirs.

Let me know how I can help!

Kurt.

Thanks to all for the offers to help out with the GSK and timing, I really appreciate it.

ditto, almost feel like we should pay something for the trouble

Hey guys,

This sounds like a party I won't miss. I just happen to have a 3000 GSK begging to go in my truck, and I haven't killed the KDP on this truck yet. I'm going to get my father-in-law to come along also. Sounds like this will be a great time.

Alright here we go!

From the Cities:

Find HWY10 west. Take HWY 10 through Anoka you will start to hit stop lights. At the 4th light it will be Ramsey Blvd, Take a Right (north). You will go approx 1 mile to a 4 way stop. Go straight through the stop signs. You will see a Tom Thumb on your right. AFTER the Tom Thumb there will be a turn lane for 151St Ave Nw, Take a RIGHT. Go down 2 streets to Kamacite, take a RIGHT, then take your next Immediate LEFT onto 150th. My house is the 3rd house on the right. Address is 6920 150th Ave NW, Ramsey MN 55303.

Another Detail, when 10 goes through Anoka HWY 169 joins 10. So from Anoka to Elk River they run together. If you are comming from that end of the cities, Take 169 to Anoka, and hop on 10 from there.

Anyone that needs "custom" directions let me know, I'm pretty good with the roads around the Cities, and can get you to my house from about any major road.

Josh;

I think anyone coming south on Hwy 10 & Hwy 169 can figure out to go to Ramsey Blvd and turn LEFT (also north) and follow the rest of your directions.

Any tips for those coming down I-35 or from the NE?

How about the SW

Donations would be gladly accepted. ;)

Although, the advice and BS (you decide which is which) is allways free. :D

If you are comming up (going north) on 35 E make sure you take the HWY 10 cut accross, not the country road 10. 35w is pretty easy. If you are comming down (going south) on 35, take 35w if you are north of the split. Other than that everything is pretty simple. I can give "customized" directions to anyone that PM's me.

I should be able to make it down for the better part of the day.

Is there any need for a DRB III scan tool? I may be able to borrow one for the weekend from where I used to work, I'll check the responses on the post for interest. If there is I'll make a call to see if I can score it for the festivities.

I'll also have my G-Tech for doing some acceleration measurements, while observing all local traffic laws, of course.

Now to decide which truck to drive down.

Later,

Wayne

As it stands right now, I'm going to try and get enough stuff for about 35 people. Sounds like we will have at least 20 trucks. So far so good! I'm gettin excited, this should be a great time. I'm still waiting on the KDP jig to arrive at my place. Nothing so far, hopefully it arrives soon.

I hope you really get a big head over this. 20 trucks for your first BOMB party is AWESOME.

If you host it they will come.

I'll bring the fogger and lay down some chemicals to deter the skeeters.

Aron;

Down boy, down. OBD is only as good as the operator. Hey, Wayne knows that thing really well.

Thanks for offering Wayne and great to see you can make it down for the fun.

I'll see if I can borrow the laptop from work. Does Insite OEM sound like something anyone would like to see?

Nah! forget I mentioned it... ... ... ...

Scott

We'll do the crimpers next week.

Well the one downside of being young and dumb is... . I don't have a home phone. So... . I do all my TDR surfing and whatnot at work, on their phone. I'm always on the run so having just a cell phone has it's advantages... . and disadvantages. I will check this post the rest of the day today (wed) and again on Friday. If anyone has any questions..... I will post my Cell number on friday just incase anyone gets lost, etc.

Josh

Josh;

You can always post your cell number in the profile section. That would keep it from an overly puiblic view f you worry about posting it. .

Another is to email me and I can email it out. I have most everyone's email that has responded on the thread.

Anything you want us to bring in the way of food & beverages?

Did you get a pressure regulator for the jig?
