July 19th Bomb/BBQ/KDP fix

I'm bringing a regulator for pressurizing the crankcases. So only one will be able to be drilled, chamfered, and tapped at a time.



Josh (or someone), be sure to pick up RTV gasket maker, threadlocker, brake cleaner (couple cans), high temp. anti-sieze, bag of rags (or shop towels).



Any other stuff we'll have to pick up that day.



I will be bringing my timing kit, barring tool, cordless drill, torque wrenches, injector puller, and some other odd-ball stuff. I don't have a pressure gauge to test people's lift pumps. So if some has one of those...



Anything else you guys can think of?

I'm going to get 30 hot dogs, 10LBS hamburger, buns, and beans. If you guys would like to bring chips or potato salad that would be good. I'll pick up some pop and beer. If you like something in particular, I'd suggest you bring it. I think I'm just going to pick up some diet pop, mt dew, and grape.



I will also have RTV, brake clean, loc-tite, and antisieze. I do not have a regulator. Amianthus is bringing one, so we should be set. I will also be bringing my torque wrenches, and most of my tools home.

Sorry guys,

It looks like I am not going to be able to attend on Saturday due to my Grandfathers health taking a turn for the worse, he had a stroke today and it does not look good. I have to go to Nebraska from tomorrow until Saturday night I would however be able to come down on Sunday if any one will be around with a KDP jig to help me get that taken care of. How many people are going to be there on Sunday? I wish I could be there on Saturday as it sounds like it will be a absolute blast but family comes first.

Oh yes, step stool, fender mats and battery rug. Always handy for the GSK especially for you front wheel drive enthusiasts.

Does any one drive on hwy 169 much. Just wondering if any construction or any detours.

Scott: I'm hoping the 3gsk kit will get rid of the roughness on low end. If it does I'm gonna put the 370's @ delivery valves in.

I think doing 3gsk,kdp and timing is enough for one day. Oo.

IT'S A GO! Sorry to hear about your Grandfather Kurt. Right now I have some plans for sunday (the girlfriend complained about being a "diesel head" all weekend). But if someone wants to take the KDP jig to do some more trucks we can go from there. I made up some signs to get to my place. I'll try and get them up at about 8am. I'll see you guys sometime after that!

Oh ya..... over the 4th weekend I ran 169 from 494 all the way to Grand Rapids, I do not recall seeing any construction. I was movin kinda quick though!

Just rolled in from Josh's place. 617 miles on the trip meter.

Went through St. Cloud area just after the nasty weather. Clear sailing all the way home.

Stopped in Alex for water and to call wife and discovered the car I passed earlier that looked like a cop IS a cop. Let me just say the tach was reading 2,250 rpm at the time.



Nice productive day. A little hot & sunny and I've got the neck to prove it... .

Not sure the total, but on 3 trucks I knocked off 2 KDP and installed a GSK.

Amianthus did a timing on another.

Josh killed his KDP (under Aminathus' guidance) to start the day.



I think there were more projects to go, but time just ran short.



Nice meeting everyone and putting faces on names & handles.

Also nice seeing some firends again.
