July 19th Bomb/BBQ/KDP fix

I'm happy to report that another KDP has been neutralized! Oo. Josh did most of the work, I helped out as much as possible, but most of the time only one guy can get in there and work. Thanks alot Josh, and it was a pleasure to meet you.

just an update... the mntdr.org site is on the way just taking a bit longer due to an unforseen problem that ran into me a few days after the meet. some kid decided that my truck was a baseball and needed to be batted around a bit. caused nearly $3000 in damage. now i'm fighting with the parents to get the money for the repairs...

Getting parents to take responsibility for their ... children's actions is like getting people to take repsonsibile action with their pets, such as neuter, leave the @#$%& at home, or send them away from people. Same for the pets?



I had kids break every light in an old Subaru station wagon many years ago. We couldn't prove the kids that did the deed even though we knew. The worst battle was the insurance company. They only gave me junk yard pricing replacment on the lights. That was about 30% of actual value.

the parents told me to get an estimate from a body shop of their choice. i did and the estimate came out $9 higher than the estimate i was asking for. when they saw that they offered to give me $500, end of story. the estimate came in at $2575 so there is no way i will be taking their $500. looks like i might be stuck going to court!

i have filed a report but after speaking with the deputy we decided that we would not press formal charges as long as the family was willing to

• send the kid to youth services
• take care of the repairs to my truck

unless they change their mind about covering the repairs to my truck by wed i will be contacting a lawyer. chances are, formal charges will then be filed.



the parents know i have this option but they probably think that they are doing everything i asked of them... .
