4th of July Kitsap Diesel Rally and Campout are a go!!
We'll open the gates around 9am on Saturday the 4th. Anyone wanting to arrive the day before, let me know and we'll get you in.
This is a family event, so kids and well-behaved pets are welcome. No horses for this event.
We have booked the talented band Knucklehead for Saturday night, to play sometime after 5pm. They are a super fun band that does great covers of classic rock/country. See them at *****KNUCKLEHEAD***** to preview.
There is also an ipod-compatible music system, so if you have some favorite mixes, bring 'em!
Show-n-Shine judging will be from 12 noon to 2pm, rain or shine. We will have plaques for winners of various categories!
Chili competition to be judged at 3pm. We welcome all varieties, and anyone wanting to enter please be there by 2 if you can. After the judging, chili will be served as part of potluck dinner.
There is a huge fireworks show across the street for our viewing pleasure! We also have places to shoot off smaller stuff if you bring it. Please nothing illegal or dangerous!
We are working on a "pull" using a classic dumptruck as our sled. If you like to yank stuff, come ready!
There is plenty of camping space, but no hookups. Lots of water and clean sani-cans are available.
We have a clubhouse with kitchen for food prep, and "real" bathrooms.
Please bring some food to share for potluck dinner. We are close to stores, so it's easy to get ice and stuff as needed. Folks can set up their own grills/cookers as well.
We have horsehoe pits. Please bring other games like volleyball, badminton, etc. if you want to play.
We will ask for a $5 donation for those who can at the gate to pay for facility use. We will also "pass the hat" for donations to pay for the band.
If you'd like to help promote this event, I will email you a flier that you can print out and post. We're all in this together, so thanks for the support!
