Competition DHRA Division 7 Opener - May 8th

cjohnson--golly I need to read the posts to the end so I don't leave people hanging--you have a pm---I talked to Brandon the other day and he's feeling confident he'd make it---you have a pm also----chris

cjohnson,

I will do my best to spread the word, but I don't know many people who have the same interests like us Dodge Diesel enthusiasts. There are a few people who I can mention it to but no guarantees. I will keep you informed on this site. :D

Thanks Chris, I pm'd you, we will talk more.

Carnival worker, I realize that the holiday weekend may be tough for some, at this point I am playing off of the venue. Being that they are having an event that day that will draw upwards of 4-5 thousand people, I think my chances are better of securing sponsorship for the event. It won't happen on the competitors entries alone, costs quite a bit just to get the sled down here. The airpark where I want to hold the event suggested this date for us to piggyback off of, so for now I am kind of stuck with that. If we can make this first one work, I will have some leverage in making more happen in the future on different dates.

JGheeen, I know not everyone is interested in this kind of thing, just spread the word among your other turbodiesel-diving buddies- thats all we can do for now. The spectators will be there, we need committed entries.

Craig

cjohnson,

Do you have some exact info I can post around? Such as exactly when, where, how much it will cost to enter or attend the event, maybe a flier that you may have put together. I have a few people in mind now that I think about it, and they definately will be competeing..... if they don't already have plans for the 4th.

JGheen,

As soon as I know for sure that I can make this happen I will get more info out right away. Again, at this point I am trying to make sure there is enough interest and funding to pull it off. For right now, all I can tell you is that it would be on the 4th of July, probably start around noon, and it would be at the Agua Dulce airpark. Here is a link to the sight so people can see the facility.

Hey Craig,

I know this is kind of a stupid question, but I started to spread the word a little and the first guy to reply to me had asked if there is going to be a 2WD class. The reason is because his 4WD is currently not operating and he would go if there was a 2WD class running. Let me know and I'll keep asking around.

Joe

JGheen,

Typically there aren't enough 2wd trucks to make a class, but if there are I certainly would. Otherwise, he would still be welcome to hook, but it would pretty much just be an exhibition run.

Craig

I hear you Mike.

Bring that Bad 2wd, 3rd gen of yours, we'll have a spot for you to hook. Just make it to the pull bud, and bring some friends. If there are enough 2wd trucks, we will have a class, otherwise I imagine we have you guys run exhibition.
