I installed a jumper at the transmission relay as per BD's instructions while installing their AutoLoc. I soon noticed a surging at about 65 mph when pulling my trailer. The dealer diagnosed the problem as the jumper causing the alternator to put a voltage spike through the system which in turn knocked out the map sencor. I was able to see the computer register error codes in several areas with the jumper in and when the jumper was removed, all the errors codes disapeared. Has anyone experienced this promlem?

I too experienced a voltage backfeed after the installation of the jumper across the transmission relay (while installing my BD TorqLoc 1. 5 years ago). For some unknown reason (to me) I was instructed by BD to remove the jumper and reinstall the transmission relay. First of all, I don't have a California truck... or even a "border state" truck. Anyway, the instructed fix worked exactly as BD said it would. #ad
No problems since. #ad
