i have had a problem with my tach for quite some time i will jump around all over the place. usally i clean the connector and put some dieelectric grease in it and it works fine for a while but 3 weeks ago this trick didn't work. so i figured i would buy another crank posisition sensor. $105 :( latter and it still isn't much better so i regap the sensor 3 times using a business card and i still have the tach problem. i also disconnect the PCM harness and clean and dieelectric grease it off the advise of a TDR member Reb. B he has been very helpful. but i still have the problem. well as some of you know the sensor in question tells the PCM that the motor is running. well it also tells the alt to charge the batteries, and tells the AC clutch to engage. my theory is this rapid engaging disengaging has destoryed my AC clutch. i don't know for sure but i'm guessing at this point. dose anyone know if the clutch can be replaced by itself or do i need a whole new compressor :( also has antone ran accross this before i would like to get the AC fixed but i see no reason if i can not resolve the tach problem.

Please some one help me no one around here has any clue cummins says dodge. AC people have no IDEA and i am running out, and i hate dealers (bad experinnces with the local boys)
