Hey guys long time reader, first time to post so please bear with me. I'm a converted DuraCrap to Cummins man now so I'm new to all the Dodge front end issues.

The problem is sometimes when you apply the brakes while moving a pretty good clip it feels like the truck is jumping up and down. Acts like it is not going to stop. You can't really feel it in the steering wheel but the gearshift arm acts like it is going to shake out of the truck(up and down violently).

I have changed the obvious problems in the front end, new ball joints, control arm bushings, converted the track bar and added the DSS. Also have new brakes (rotors and drums )all the way around.

Thought about worped brakes but the problem is intermittent. ?

Truck has 88,000 on the clock, and the intermidiate shaft feels fairly tight?

What do I try next?

I'm not much on spending money just shooting in the dark (would rather start spending it on fun mods) . Thanks in advance for any idea and help.

Do a searc on Front end Threads and "Death Wobble" you will be busy reading, but you should find lots of good info. And BTW I'd rather have my crummy Front end and a Cummins than IFS and a Duraturd anyday! :-laf

Most likely you need to have the brake rotors and or drums turned. They get warped real easy. Especially if you tow heavy. Do a search for brake problems and you'll find that most everyone who has rear drum brakes have this same problem.

And I couldn't agree with Timbeaux more. Forget those wimpy GMs. I love my Bart (Big A** Red Truck) :D

Silly Question

Are the shocks bad? Sounds like you are describing a truck with OEM shocks to me. Bilsteins cured mine but ride a bit rough

I've searched the "death wobble" , but it seems that it occurs at speed, while hitting potholes or rough sections of road?? Mine has never done that and we have our share of rough spots. Just happens when getting on the brakes and doesnt come out of it until the truck finally stops or you let off the brakes. It doesnt pull to either side just jumps or bounces. I thought about having the drums turned, but figured that if they were warped it would do it everytime, but maybe not(new experience).

Also the shocks are Rancho 9000's and seem to be in good shape.
