So I'm about to bite the bullet on new tires & thought I may as well get new wheels too. I really have always hated the way the stock ones looked on my rig. So I really like cheap looking utilitarian wheels, always have. I'm not to fond of shiny stuff. I love the way the spare looks. So my question is would junk yard wheels from an older Dodge or Ford bolt up? Do the Fords have the same or similar offset? Would the wheels be strong enough? And is there any specific doner I should look for?

Thanks

My brother's roomate had factory dodge steel wheels on his 02 when he bought it. He has a black truck so he painted the wheels black and left the beauty rings and centers chrome. They looked good, but now he has wheels off of an 03 on it. If you are close to Nebraska I am sure he would get rid of them, if not I would think ford before 99 or chevy steel wheels would work. The offset I doubt would be perfect though. I would bet there are some TDR members out there with factory steels for you. I would maybe put an ad in the classifieds.
