Ok went to the free version of Cummins-Quickserve. No part numbers, but gives ya diagrams. I punched in that serial number you gave me Scott, big thanks again. It didn't show the same diagram as the pictured Alan posted. Well, no oil fill tube, just the oil fill cap, threaded directly to the breather. This would work, but I'd really like to have the one Alan pictured. I would need the number for #2 in the diagram for it to work, to have a brace so to speak for the oil fill tube. I'm waiting on a call back from Scheids tomorrow. I gave them the part number and serial number and they are having troubles locating what I want.

Hmm, wish I worked around 5. 9 equipped school buses everyday:-laf!! Hmm. . I have a oil fill tube elimination cap, one could get rid of an unused two-in-one breather fill tube, and reinstall said cap... .

I tell ya, finding parts through a computer and part person is much tougher than getting your hands dirty at a good medium duty junkyard:mad: ;) :-laf. .

Sri, extra crankcase breathing I don't think is really necessary til you start pushing 50psi of boost  . Then again, if you wanted to have something different than the other guy and or wanted something cool  under the hood, then this would be for you.

Sorry for the late reply... working 12's getting home late

#9 is 3914738 is same as 92 trucks

#10 is 3944797 it comes with the seal ring #11

#2 is 3680536

No worries, I really appreciate your effort. Your part number for #10 has an extra digit in it. . ?? Also varies from the number Scott posted...

Edit: got #10 on order, it's 3944797, and #2 on order. Big thanks to Alan for posting the diagram and numbers, and an even bigger thanks to GL for the engine serial number, thats what it took for Scheid to figure everything out.

I'll be having the one piece 24V breather for sale soon, minus the metal tube. One could rig up some heater hose, or buy the soft rubber hose that is on the Dodge 24V's.

I'd rather not say how much they were, PM if interested though. I tell ya, some of you guys are a bad influence on me :-laf .

Update pic

Got the two in one breather/oil filler. The oil fill tube brace is on order, should have in next week. Now I just need to clean up the old oil fill tube and it should look great. Anyone wanna buy my old breather? :-laf

Cool. I love it when (one of my) plans come together... ..... :) cuz it ain't that often.

Bill, I have this P-Pump setting around the shop too. You'd be interested in grafting that on... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... . never mind.

Ah, no, why would anybody want to ruin a perfectly good first gen with a Ppump? Thems only good for doorstops, and lazy 12 valve owners ;) . Now please promise me, No more P Pump talk. :)

Bill,

Would you measure the height of the afercooler for me? I think one of those water to air aftercoolers would be the easiest for me to fit on my Scout and if it is to high a hood scoop would be in order. A much easier solution to high EGT's than cutting all the mounts and repositioning the drive train back 3 inches to fit a front mounted air to air aftercooler.

Thanks,

Steve
