It's time to do a little more to my 01. Looking at adding a set of 110 HP DDPs to my truck and was wondering about fuel. Was looking at a FS-392 to go with the injectors. Is it necessary or will the stock lift pump (relocated) handle it?? Should I splurge and get the mechanical pump ($200 more) or just go with the Walbro? It's a daily driver and I'm not wanting to O-ring and stud it just yet and don't want to affect the reliabilty... ... Ideas??

I see in your profile that you have the same trans upgrades and wondered if yours shifted solidly at 1st and later on a little mushy. Satisfied with convertor but don't know if trans is on its way out or VB needs adjusting. Your thoughts?

injectors will be fine, just adjust the TST accordingly. I beleive you'll find your 12cm exhaust housing becomes restrictive on the top end. Stock lift is marginal at best as are the lines and fittings, DEFINATELY upgrade. Keep drive pressure/boost below 45psi and should be fine as is.

transmission has always worked fine. Shifts are as good as when I first did the mods. I did the 2 boxes and transmission mods at the same time about 70K miles ago.

Lines and fittings have been upgraded with the Vulcan kit and pump is on the frame rail. With the stock pump is it still marginal? HTT will upgrade the housing on the turbo to 14cm fairly cheap. Will the injectors lessen the turbo lag if I increase the housing size?

while its at HTT have the turbine upped to a 71(low drive pressure) that will keep lag down and keep you happy for a while. you CAN install studs without pulling the head for added peace of mind.

Talked to HTT yesterday. Told them I wanted to upgrade to a 14cm housing and 71 turbine wheel. They recommended against both saying I would have increased turbo lag with the 71 and suggested I go to their new stainless housing that is a 13 but flows like 14 and increase my compressor wheel to a 64 from a 62. Looking at their website it seems like the 71 might lag a little more but accelerates quicker. They also say a 64 could cause surge issues under 2000 RPM. What gives???
