Has anyone experienced their rngine idling a LITTLE rough say after a long drive in Hot weather or a hard pull, etc... My 06 idles rough just a little once in a while now that the weather has gotten hotter. Usually happens if I have been running the AC a while. No codes, not a nousiance, not an OUNCE of smoke of any color. No noticeable loss of power and MPG has actually INCREASED over the last few 1,000 miles. I had the long crank flash done a few weeks ago and switched to the GENOS Fuel FIlter top, but thats about it, not a SINGLE long crank since the flash and thats when my MPG's started going up. . just curious... . thanks!Oo.

have your injectors tested, mine started out as a slight rough idle and got bad really quick(like 1 month) 1 injector would stick open when hot and another would dribble fuel almost all the time, had them rebuilt again and everything is fine now.

every once and a while you should drive it like your mad at it.

seriously,,,it works for me.

clears it rite up.

last time my truck idled rough was in january.

Just an update, I went on a 200 mile round trip today pulling my large Horse trailer. It was about 90 degrees outside and had a few hard pulls up some steep grades. When I filled up last night I added a healthy dose of Power Service Grey bottle and I did not have any of the same little rough idle symptoms!

I had the opposite problem. I was towing, heading north on I95 from Disney World. I filled up at Flying J in GA. I stopped 2 hours later for lunch and shut the truck off. ½ hour later when I started the truck it sounded like it was running on five cylinders, but as soon as I put a load on it (moved it) the miss cleared up. Engine would not miss once warmed up. I filled again at Flying J in SC, and then stopped for the night at the South of the Border Campground. Next morning it missed again when I started it.

I left it running all day, filled again in VA. When I got home, I shut it off after unhooking the camper. ½ hour later started truck and it idled fine. Have not had the idle miss since (1 month ago)
