Remote located air conditioner; what brand?

I have a 2004. 5 1 ton 4x4 an I want to get a slide in camper the weighs about 2600#,. Will I need air bags or are the springs good enough?

Thanks, Ken

There were some posts on this a long time back. I installed bump blocks from Energy Suspension which are a lot thicker than the stock ones. This helps to support weight on the overloads sooner thus preventing less sag. I tow a fifth wheel with around 2600# hitch weight and this set up works well.

Airbags are nice because you can set them up to adjust more psi in each bag. Maybe the drivers side needs 60psi and the passenger side needs 45psi to level things out. Plus it make the driveability a lot better. I have been very happy with my airbags. .

I have air bags and really like them. So far, the max pressure I've needed is 30 psi to carry either my Lance or my 5th wheel. At 30 psi, with the Lance I get about 1/2" drop. 0" with the 5th wheel.
