:D :--) Oo. :D I just stumbled across a great deal on those BF Goodrich 315/70/r17's that I keep hearing about!!!I Hope this isn't improper, but on "discount tire direct .com"they have them on special for $147. 00 each with free shipping included. This is about $75 dollars cheaper per tire than anywhere else that I have seen them. Hope that this may help some folks!

My bad

 I had only seen these tires in magazines and so that was the source that I was comparing the price against. I did the shipping calculator on "Tire Rack.com" and with shipping included thier price is still about $22. 00 cheaper than the site I had mentioned earlier. Sorry about that!! Just got a little excited about what looked like a killer deal. Kick A** looking truck you have by the way!!

Got a special deal on mine at $120. 00 each. They fit perfectly on my 2500 4X4 Quad Cab. No rubbing or problems.

I thought that fuel economy might improve, but after adjusting for speddo/odo calibration error I'm still in the 19-20 MPG range on the road. 18-19 MPG around town. I do have a fairly light foot, your mileage may vary. .

The engine does seem to like the lower RPM's at freeway speeds. Right at peak torque. A good place to be

David and others w/373 and 315 tires,

What rpm are you guys turning at a recalibrated/calculated 70 mph. I am interested in both manual and auto numbers.

thanks,

The truspeed won't work, it's been tried. The stock speedo can't be reprogrammed far enough. I don't know of anyone who has managed to recalibrate their speedo with the 315's yet. . If anyone has, please let me know how.

how far can the stock speedo be recalibrated? how is this done?

If you add 10% to the speedo value you will be within 1 MPH of actual under most conditions. I checked it with my GPS and this method works good for me.

seepo calibration

I was at the dealership today and a tech told me the way they calibrate the speedo is by the # of revolutions of the tire per mile. He said the range went down to 636 per mile which would be fairly close on the 315's, but i'm not sure if that is exactly low enough or not!

Right, 636. . I think BFG rates the 315 around 590-600, I forget without looking it up. I was planning on doing some testing way back when, but never got to it. I was going to try to figure out the real revs/mile of the tire.

Oh, and it's done with the scan tool at the dealership.
